KPK Confiscates 2,743 Square Meters Of Land Belonging To Corruption Convicts Heli AW-101

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated land assets belonging to John Irfan Kenway or Irfan Kurnia Saleh who is the Director of PT Diratama Jaya Mandiri. A total of 13 plots of land were forcibly taken from the convict in the corruption case of procuring the AW-101 helicopter. "“ Has carried out the confiscation of the execution of 13 plots of land belonging to the convict referred to in Sentul Village/Kelurahan, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency,”" said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, May 29. It was stated that John had to return state losses by paying compensation of Rp. 17.2 billion. Previously reported, John Irfan Kenway or Kurnia Saleh was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to 6 months in prison. The panel of judges at the Jakarta Corruption Court found this businessman guilty of corruption in the procurement of the AW-101 helicopter.

In addition, Irfan is obliged to pay replacement money of up to IDR 17.2 billion. His property will be confiscated if he is unable to pay and will be subject to a criminal sentence of two years if the value is insufficient.
