During the search, evidence was found of about 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine in two packs each with a gross weight of 507 grams and 508 grams stored in the suspect's bag.

"The suspect admitted that the item belonged to R (DPO), he brought it from Malaysia in exchange for Rp. 50 million if he succeeded in delivering the illicit goods," he said, explaining.

To the police, the suspect admitted to smuggling class 1 narcotics by sea.

He was willing to travel for 10 days to avoid being checked by officers at the airport.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary to Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

The case of drug trafficking with 1 kilogram of evidence as thwarted by the Bangkalan Police is the second time in the last two years.
