PN Pandangsidimpuan North Sumatra Sentenced Defendant 3 Kg Of Shabu To Life In Prison

The panel of judges at the Padangsidimpuan District Court, North Sumatra sentenced the defendants Herman Suryadi Lubis and Andika Saputra in the case of carrying 3,062.30 grams of methamphetamine (3 kilograms).

"The two defendants violated Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics in the first indictment of the public prosecutor," said Chief Judge Dwi Sri Mulyati in Padangsidimpuan City as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 28.

Dwi said the two defendants were legally and convincingly proven to have committed a criminal act of probation or conspiracy to commit a narcotics crime without rights or against the law, bid for sale, sold, bought, received, became an intermediary for narcotics type methamphetamine weighing 3,062.30 grams.

Meanwhile, evidence in the form of methamphetamine weighing 3,062.30 grams and cellphones was confiscated to be destroyed, while one car was confiscated for the state.

The verdict of the panel of judges against the two defendants was the same as the demands of the public prosecutor of the Padangsidimpuan District Attorney.

The indictment revealed that on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at around 19.00 WIB, the Padangsidimpuan Police Narcotics Satresnal team arrested Herman Suryadi Lubis and Cindy Ambariska (separate files) on Sisingamangaraja Street, Sitamiang Village, South Padangsidimpuan District, Padangsidimpuan City.

Officers confiscated evidence in the form of transparent plastic clips containing class I narcotics of methamphetamine, cellphones and others.

In short, officers arrested Andika carrying methamphetamine from Medan to Padangsidimpuan City. Then when searched, officers found three kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from the defendant, Herman ordered.
