Due To PLN Utilities Cable And PAM Pipelines, Water Channel Crossing Construction In East Jakarta Delayed A Week

JAKARTA - The waterway crossing construction project on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Duren Sawit and Jalan Raya Bogor, Ciracas, East Jakarta, is constrained by the utility network cable.

Head of the Development Section of the East Jakarta SDA Sub-dept., Tengku Saugi Zikri, said that the results of his team's review found a utility network at two crossing waterway work locations.

As a result of these obstacles, the work, which was originally targeted to be completed yesterday, was delayed and needed an extension of time for a week.

"Because there are many utilities in it, so the work is done manually. Because if you use heavy equipment, it is feared that it will damage the utilities built in the ground," he said, Tuesday, May 28.

Saugi further said that the water channel crossing work on Jalan Raya Bogor had problems with PLN's utility cable, namely medium voltage cables. Then the pipe belongs to PT PAM Jaya has a diameter of 500 and 300 millimeters and there is a pipe belonging to PT Gas.

All of them were planted at a depth of about 1-1.5 meters. Even though the installation of the culvert box installed is also 1.5 meters.

While working on the crossing of waterways on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, more networks of other cable utilities were found. Starting from the PAM Jaya pipeline network, cables belonging to PT PLN, Telkom and gas pipelines. In both locations there are two pipes belonging to PAM Jaya.

One of the pipes was leaked twice by a heavy equipment pile drill, during excavations on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 27.

In addition to the PAM pipe, at the location there were also 10 cables belonging to PT PLN which were large. All of them are at the box culvert installation point measuring 150x150 centimeters.

So it must be applied manually so that the culvert box can be installed. However, if it cannot be installed, it will be circumvented with the concrete cast on the spot, as a substitute for the culvert box.
