Anticipating Motorcycle Gangs, Belawan Police Implements Night Hours For Children

Belawan Resort Police, North Sumatra asked parents to prohibit children from leaving their homes after 22.00 WIB from getting involved in motorcycle gangs.

"We appeal to parents to pay more attention to their children's activities outside the home," said Head of the Belawan Port Police Community Development Unit AKP Armansyah Siregar, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 28.

Armansyah continued that his party emphasized the importance of prohibiting children from leaving the house after 10 pm in order to avoid the action of motorcycle gangs.

"This is a preventive measure to ensure they are not involved in motorcycle gangs that can harm others and endanger themselves," he said.

It is said, Bhabinkamtibmas is also working with community leaders and educational institutions to convey anti-motor gangs messages to the younger generation.

"We hope that with this socialization, parents can be more vigilant and care about their children's social environment," said Armansyah.

He added that his party also wants the community to participate in creating a safe and conducive environment by reporting immediately if they see motorcycle gang activities.

The Belawan Port Police are committed to continuing to carry out socialization and other preventive actions to prevent motorcycle gangs and street crimes.

"With the support of the community, it is hoped that the jurisdiction of the Belawan Port Police can remain safe and conducive to all its citizens," said Armamsyah.

Previously, the Belawan Medan Port Police arrested 12 members of a motorcycle gang who wanted to fight on Sunday (12/5) in the morning.

The confiscated evidence consisted of six sharp weapons, six cellphones, five motorcycles.
