Called By Jokowi To The Palace, National Police Chief Declares No Problem With The Attorney General's Office

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has summoned National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin regarding the issue of stalking Jampidsus by Densus 88 personnel.

The President ensured that there were no problems from the two institutions. "I have called earlier," said President Jokowi, Monday, May 27.

However, the President did not reveal in detail what things became a discussion with the two parties.

On the other hand, the National Police Chief also emphasized that his party and the AGO did not have any problems.

"It's with Pak JA (General Prosecutor) that there are no problems together," said the National Police Chief.

Previously, while attending the launch of INA Digital Government Technology (GovTech) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, the Attorney General seemed to welcome the hand of the National Police Chief. The two then shook hands with smiles at each other.

After that, the two of them sat in the same row, namely the front row that faced President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

National Police Chief Sigit sat on the leftmost seat, then on his right seat the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and continued with Attorney General Burhanuddin.

After the event, the Attorney General and the National Police Chief descended the palace steps together, accompanied by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto who was standing between the two.

The three of them had posed to be immortalized by the photos by the journalists who were present. "Remember, I'm already working with you," said Hadi while cooperating with Burhanuddin and Sigit's arms.

This momentum became a concern after in the last few days there was a narrative on social media regarding the relationship between the Attorney General's Office and the National Police which was distant due to alleged stalking.
