15 Prospective Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Died In Saudi Arabia

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) announced that until now there have been 15 Indonesian Hajj candidates who have been declared dead in Saudi Arabia.

"There are 15 people who have died to date, with details of one person died at the airport, 11 people died in Medina, and 3 people died in Makkah," said Hajj Media Center (MCH) officer Widi Dwinanda as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, May 26.

It is known, the Ministry of Religion stated that all pilgrims who died after entering the embarkation and before leaving the debarkation will receive insurance and will be performed.

The Ministry of Religion conveyed to all prospective hajj candidates not to hesitate and hesitate to ask for help from officers, either before departure, while on the plane, or after arriving in Saudi Arabia if they have difficulty carrying out the pilgrimage.

The Ministry of Religion also noted that 102,104 prospective Indonesian pilgrims had been in Saudi Arabia on the 15th day of Indonesian Hajj operations.

"Based on the report from the Saudi Arabian Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 21.00 Saudi Arabian Time or Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 01.00 WIB, there are 102,104 pilgrims who have arrived in the Holy Land," said Widi Dwinanda.

Widi explained that all Hajj candidates who had arrived in Saudi Arabia were a combination of the congregation which was divided into 259 flying groups (kloters).

In addition, he continued, all prospective pilgrims have landed through Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz (AMAA) Airport, Medina and King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAAIA) Jeddah.
