Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Leads The Prayer Of President Raisi's Body, Hamas Leader Haniyeh Present

JAKARTA - Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led the funeral prayer of the late President Ebrahim Raisi attended by Iranian officials and people, including a number of foreign representatives.

In a funeral ceremony at Tehran University on Wednesday morning, Ayatollah Khamenei led the funeral prayer in front of President Raisi's coffin and seven other people who were martyred in Sunday's helicopter crash, citing Tasnim May 22.

A large number of people from various walks of life attended a funeral ceremony at the University of Tehran.

After the funeral prayers, the mourners will then line up on the procession to Azadi (Liberty) Square.

Meanwhile, one of the foreign figures who attended the funeral was the leader of the Hamas Ismain Haniyeh Group. In his speech at the University of Tehran, Haniyeh said he hadri at the funeral of the President of Iran on behalf of the Palestinians and Gaza.

Paying tribute to President Raisi and his entourage, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19, Hamas leader of Hurricane Al-Aqsa and his meeting with the late President Raisi of Ramadan.

A separate funeral ceremony was held in Tabriz and Qom yesterday, before the bodies were transferred to Tehran for people to say goodbye to eight martyrs at Grand Musalla on Tuesday night.

President Raisi himself will be buried on Thursday afternoon in the holy city of Masyhad in northeastern Iran.
