JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) has requested that the video bullying or bullying between junior high school students in Bojonggede, Bogor Regency be removed from circulation on social media (medsos).

KPAI member Aris Adi Leksono said the removal should not inspire negative or influence other children to imitate the same pattern.

"We hope that videos of violence that go viral to be taken down. All parties must stop distributing the video because it has the potential to influence other children to imitate the same pattern," he said when contacted, Tuesday, May 21, was confiscated by Antara.

He said this was in response to the case of bullying between Bojonggede Junior High School students.

"Currently the case has been handled by the Depok Police, so the victim must get the right to protection, get justice, treat psychosocial assistance in recovery, and legal assistance. For children suspected who are in conflict with the law, it needs to be processed based on the Child Protection Law and the Child Criminal Justice System Law," he said.
