PKB Will Coalition With PKS In The 2024 East Java Pilkada

JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General of the DPP National Awakening Party (PKB) Syaiful Huda said his party had agreed with the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) to form a coalition in the 2024 East Java Pilkada. He said certainty regarding this matter would be officially announced in the coming weeks. "PKS friends agreed to build a coalition, but communicated with PKB, we saw maybe a week, two weeks, this," said Huda at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 21. He said that his party had prepared the former Chairman of the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management (PWNU) KH Marzuki Mustamar as one of the names to be carried in the 2024 East Java Pilkada. "For our candidate, we have Kiai Marzuki Mustamar, including that our female candidate (candidate) is also preparing," he said. If PKB and PKS will form a coalition, the candidate he will carry will face the incumbent pair Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Elestianto Dardak who will run again in the 2024 East Java Pilkada. Earlier on Friday (17/5), the Golkar Party officially brought the former Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java 2019-2024 Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Elestianto Dardak in the 2024 East Java Pilkada. "Earlier in the friendly meeting as well as from the winning body of the Golkar Party election victory, we have issued a decree to carry Khofifah and Emil as Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java," said Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto in the Kebayoran Baru area, Jakarta. As for Saturday (18/5) night, the Regional Leadership Council of the East Java United Development Party (PPP) submitted a letter of recommendation to the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Elestianto Dardak to run in the 2024 Pilkada.

"The time is very short, the East Java PPP DPW sat-set. Congratulations to Mrs. Khofifah and Mr. Emil Dardak," said East Java PPP DPW Chairman Mundjidah Wahab, at the party office, Jalan Kendangsari, Surabaya. The East Java Pilkada will be held on November 27, 2024 and will be held simultaneously with Pilkada in 38 regencies/cities in the local province.
