Jalan Dikorupsi Light Tax, West Aceh Kejari Search BPKD Office

MEULABOH - Investigators from the West Aceh District Attorney's Office (Kejari) conducted a search at the local district's Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Office, related to the investigation into the alleged corruption case of the street lighting tax which is currently being handled.

"This search was carried out as an effort to collect evidence related to the corruption case we are handling," said the Head of the West Aceh District Attorney's Office, Siswanto, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 21.

Siswanto said his party had deployed eight investigative teams to conduct a search at the BPKD Office of West Aceh Regency.

This search was carried out after the West Aceh District Attorney obtained permission from the Meulaboh District Court regarding the tax corruption case being handled.

The rooms carried out by the search included the room of the Head of the West Aceh BPKD, the space for the expenditure treasurer, and the space for income.

During this search, investigators also confiscated a number of documents related to financial expenditures and a number of other important documents.

Kajari Siswanto said that his party was forced to conduct a search at the West Aceh BPKD Office, in order to collect some of the evidence needed related to the ongoing investigation of corruption cases.

His party asked the ASN on duty for the West Aceh BPKD to cooperate and make it easier for investigators to carry out their duties in accordance with court orders.
