Please Be Patient! Ciroyom Bandung Flyover Still In Work Can't Be Crossed

The Bandung Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) said that the access to the Ciroyom flyover is still under construction and cannot be crossed by the public. "We explained that the flyover itself has not actually been used to the public, the situation is still under improvement. Because this must also be added signs,” said Head of Lantas Polrestabes Bandung AKBP Eko Iskandar in Bandung, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 20. There are a number of improvements in the flyover structure to ensure the safety and smooth running of traffic during the Ciroyom Flyover which will be officially opened to the general public. "Then there are several points that must be tidied up first so that later it can be passed," he said. Previously, he said, a number of residents closed Ciroyom Flyover access using pieces of wood to boulders of rock and cement. This closure has been carried out since a few days ago because residents considered that accidents often occur on the flyover that had just been completed. "Beberapa kali juga ditutup oleh warga karena memang belum bisa lewat sebesarnya, dipaksa jadi pengendara jalan meneruskan lewat ini, dibuka penutupannya lewat. Ini masyarakat berinisiat untuk menutup lagi akses flyover ini," kata dia. The Ciroyom flyover is known to have been built by the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation. The construction of the Ciroyom flyover was completed in early May 2024 yesterday. Even though it has been completed, Eko said that additional supporting facilities on the flyover are still needed. So he can't confirm when the flyover can be opened to the public and passed by vehicles.

"We will immediately hold further discussions with road developers, because this is from DJKA and we will also discuss how the flyover will continue," said Eko.
