JAKARTA - The Golkar Party carries the pair Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak in the 2024 East Java Governor Election (Pilgub Jatim). Khofifah asked for prayers so that she could win again and carry out her mandate as governor of East Java.

Khofifah and Emil received a decree as governor and read the governor directly from the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, Airlangga Hartarto at Widya Chandra's official residence, South Jakarta, Friday, May 17.

"We, Mas Emil and I would like to thank you that tonight we received a decree from the Golkar Party DPP to become candidates for governorship of East Java Province and Mr. Emil to become a candidate for deputy governor for East Java province," said Khofifah.

Khofifah said that the support from Golkar was a very valuable trust and mandate for her and Emil to be able to carry out the 2024 Pilkada process as best they could. And work as hard as possible.

"So that we can and Mas Emil, God willing, will carry out our duties in the winning process, hopefully we can all pray for the election process for the Governor of East Java in November," said Khofifah.

Khofifah stated that she was ready to carry out her mandate and carry out the task of returning to being governor of East Java.

"We are ready to work hard to win the nomination process for the upcoming governor and deputy governor elections," he concluded.

Previously, Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto stated that his party had officially brought Khofifah-Emil back to the 2024 East Java gubernatorial election.

"We flanked Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Mr. Emil Dardak. Earlier in the gathering as well as from the Golkar Party Election Winning Body, we have issued a decree to carry Mrs. Khofifah and Mr. Emil as candidates for governor of East Java and deputy governor," said Airlangga.
