JAKARTA - Three Palestinians were killed in the city of Tulkarem in the West Bank as a result of an Israeli military offensive.

As reported by CNN, Thursday, May 16, Israel's security representative who spoke on condition of anonymity said Israeli forces (IDFs) shot directly three people suspected of planting mine bombs in the area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the three people who were shot dead were Ahmed Mubarak (26), Hossam Imad Dabas (22) and Muhammad Youssef Nasrallah aged 27.

Residents in Tulkarem told CNN Israeli snipers were on top of buildings living in the city during the military operation.

Israeli security sources told CNN Israeli forces were also shooting at other militants in the area.
