Having Hypertension History, KPPS Members In Penjaringan Die

JAKARTA - Member of the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) of the 116 Voting Station (TPS) of Penjaringan Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, Achmad Betti (47) died while on duty, Wednesday.

"This KPPS officer is confirmed to have a history of hypertension. We express our condolences for the death of the deceased while on duty," said North Jakarta Mayor Ali Maulana Halim in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the Head of Penjaringan Village, Machrus Nugroho, said that Achmad Betti did have a history of hypertension.

He had returned home not far from the Voting Station (TPS), precisely on Jalan Muara Baru, Gang Marlina RT 011/017, Penjaringan Village at 11.00 WIB.

But later, residents found him already in critical condition and immediately took him to Atma Jaya Hospital.

"Residents found him having fallen at his house. Then he was taken to Atma Jaya Hospital but was declared dead by the hospital," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has appointed three candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent serial numbers 2 and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) serial number 3.

A total of 8.2 million voters who have been designated as a permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will exercise their voting rights at 14,835 polling stations (TPS) on November 27, 2024.

The Jakarta Pilkada campaign series has been held from September 25 to November 23, 2024.
