JAKARTA - Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday called on Palestinians in several areas in northern Gaza to flee the area, as the military plans to expand operations against the militant group Hamas in Jabaliya.

Arabic IDF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee published a list of new zones that needed to be evacuated along with the announcement.

The latest evacuation calls include the environment of Sheikh Za'id and al-Mansheya, close to Beit Lahiya.

"Hamas and other terror organizations carried out terrorist activities and launched rockets (from these areas) into Israeli cities," Lieutenant Colonel Adraee said in a post on social media X, launching The Times of Israel May 15.

Palestinian civilians were ordered to move to shelters west of Gaza City.

The IDF said it plans to expand its operations to Hamas in Jabaliya, which was launched after they identified the militant group to reunite there.

Previously, the IDF during the weekend issued an evacuation order for Jabaliya before burst into the area. After that, the IDF expanded the warning to al-Atatra and Salatin areas.
