Hasto: Megawati Observes Prabowo's Proposal For The Form Of A Presidential Club

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto, revealed that PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had observed the proposed formation of a presidential club from the elected president Prabowo Subianto. "Everything related to the presidential club, Megawati also pays attention to, gets information from the media and reports that we convey periodically," said Hasto in his statement, in Jakarta, Monday, May 13. According to him, all matters related to the presidential club have become a routine discussion for Megawati. This is because the fifth president of the Republic of Indonesia always monitors the political dynamics of Indonesia. In addition, Megawati regularly discusses to discuss various problems both domestically and in the world, such as food and climate change issues. Even so, Hasto did not provide further explanation regarding Megawati's response to proposals for presidential club formation. "He actively discussed various issues of the nation and the world, including fundamental matters such as food and global warming issues. That is Megawati's routine agenda, so that matters related to the presidential club are also the mother of reading," he concluded. Previously, the Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, expressed his optimism that Megawati Soekarnoputri could sit with the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the presidential club forum initiated by the elected president Prabowo Subianto. "This idea has been conveyed to Megawa, and we have communicated with PDIP who also welcomed it. Mega's mother has performed a lot during the lead, and this is a positive follow-up step," said Habiburokhman.

On a separate occasion, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani assessed that the meeting between Prabowo and Megawati was only a matter of time. "Our relationship with PDIP is going well. The meeting between Pak Prabowo and (Chairman) PDIP. Once again it's a matter of time because both of them are friends and old friends," he said.
