Subang Health Office Reports The Latest Number Of Victims Of Death And Injury In Vocational High School Student Bus Accident

The tourism bus carrying a group of students from SMK Lingga Kencana Depok had an accident on Jalan Raya Ciater-Subang, Subang Regency, West Java, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 18.45 WIB.

The Subang District Health Office (Dinkes) submitted the latest data while the death toll was 11 people.

"Nine child victims (who were in) a group of buses, one teacher (also) joined a group of buses, and one local resident," said Head of the Subang District Health Office, Maxy, when confirmed in Bandung, Saturday, May 11, 2024, evening WIB was reported by Antara.

Maxy said the total number of victims was 60 people. For victims who died, he said, they are currently on their way to Ciereng Hospital, Subang Regency.

"There are 27 seriously injured victims, there are approximately 13 moderate injuries," he said.

Furthermore, he said that currently a number of victims were rushed to several health facilities including Ciereng Hospital, Hamori Hospital, Jalancagak Health Center, Palasari Health Center, PTPN Subang Hospital, and Mitra Medika Tammbakan Hospital.

Previously, the Ciereng Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Subang Regency, West Java, reported receiving nine victims who died in the bus accident.

The Director of Regional Hospital (RSUD), Subang Ahmad Nasuhi, said that according to the reports received, nine victims died as a result of an accident in Ciater who were taken to the hospital.

In addition to accepting the victim who died, the Subang Hospital is also handling seriously injured victims.

His party is trying their best in dealing with the accident victims.

However, it was admitted that a number of victims were already dead when they arrived at the hospital.

Nasuhi further said that his party had coordinated with other hospitals, namely PTPN Subang Hospital and Hamori Hospital to treat seriously injured victims.

In addition, his party also coordinated with the Subang Health Service and the Depok City Health Office regarding the evacuation of victims who died.

On Saturday evening, a tourism bus carrying a group of students from Vocational High School (SMK) Lingga Kencana Depok had an accident on Jalan Raya Ciater-Subang, Subang Regency.

In the accident, the 7524 OG AD police number tourism bus rolled over and it was reported that some of the passengers were scattered on the road.

In addition to tourism buses, the accident also involved one minibus and two motorcyclists.
