Zulhas Denies Discussing Ministerial Regulation In Cabinet When PAN Management Meets Jokowi

JAKARTA - PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) stated that his agenda of coming with a group of PAN administrators throughout Indonesia to meet President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, Friday afternoon, was not related to lobbying cabinet rations.

"No, these are all friends of Pak Jokowi's lovers, all admirers of Mr. Jokowi, want to shake hands, there is no other relationship," said Zulkifli Hasan when he arrived at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, responding to reporters' questions regarding the certainty of cabinet seats.

He said the chairmen of the regional leadership council who took part in the agenda had never met and shook hands directly with President Jokowi.

"They have never met the President, have never been shaking hands, have never seen the palace. Look at this face of a villager from Aceh to Papua, an admirer of Pak Jokowi, but have never seen Jokowi," he said, quoted by Antara.

Zulkifli Hasan, who is also the Minister of Trade (Mendag) in the era of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (KIM), said that the purpose of his visit to the Presidential Palace was to thank the President for his assistance.

"No, I want to thank Pak Jokowi for helping," he said.

Zulkifli and his entourage arrived at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex at around 15.25 WIB using a bus.
