Temanggung Police Arrest 17 Jimpitan Gang Members Who Made Troubled With Sajam

TemanGGung - Temanggung Resort Police, Central Java, arrested 17 suspected perpetrators of destroying motorbikes belonging to residents in Tengong, Jumo District.

Head of the Temanggung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Budi Raharjo, said that the actions of the perpetrators of destroying vehicles using sharp weapons occurred on Saturday (4/5) in the morning at 03.00 WIB.

"We have arrested 17 perpetrators, consisting of seven adults and 10 children," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 6.

The 17 people are members of the jimpitan gang. They were originally going to have a brawl between gangs and had already conveyed challenges through social media. However, the brawl did not happen and in the end they met the community during the convoy.

"People are afraid to run away, finally the motorbikes that were damaged by the passing residents were the groups they challenged," he said.

The gang they challenged were the texas gang whose information was in Ngadirejo.

The perpetrators of seven adults with the initials AA, BSJ, KI, HYN, FBA, RF, and MK, then 10 children with the initials FMA, RDS, MIH, RS, RA, FS, VR, HA, SF, and RA. They are still high school students in Temanggung and Magelang.

"With this incident, we are still investigating the perpetrators. The article we suspect is 170 of the Criminal Code or destruction with a threat of 7 years and Article 2 paragraph 1 of Law Number 12 of 1951 (Emergency Law) with a penalty of ten years," he said.

In this case, the police secured evidence of 13 sharp weapons in the form of sickles and swords.
