Israel's Latest Attack On Gaza Kills 29 People

JAKARTA - Israeli attacks killed 29 people and injured 25 people in Gaza, according to local officials.

In the southern city of Rafah, 21 people were killed, including children as a result of airstrikes targeting residential areas and hitting 11 houses, according to the Civil Defense Directorate in Gaza.

"Our team in Rafah is still handling several targets of residential and uninhabited houses, which resulted in dozens of people being killed, injured, and others missing under the rubble," he said.

In Gaza City, two people were killed and five others injured after an airstrike hit an apartment building near the Samar intersection in the city center. The victims were evacuated to the Baptist al-Ahli hospital, according to medical officials.

While in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, six people were killed and 20 others injured in airstrikes against a UN agency school in Nuseirat, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told CNN.

The Israeli military confirmed an attack on the Bantuan Agency complex and the UN Work for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).

The military is attacking targets they claim to be a "Hamas command and control center" located in the UNRWA complex in central Gaza, he said in a statement.

"As a result of the attack, the Hamas command and control center located in the UNRWA complex is no longer operating," he said.
