4 Ministry Of Agriculture Employees Will Witness At The SYL Session Today

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) presented four witnesses at the trial of alleged extortion and gratification of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo today, Monday, May 6.

One of them is Raden Kiky Mulya Putra who is the Head of the Household Sub-Division of the Ministry of Agriculture.

"The prosecutor's team presented witnesses," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, May 6.

Meanwhile, the other three witnesses, continued Ali, were the Financial Admin of the Ministry of Agriculture's Sub-Coordinator, Aris Andrianto; Ignatiyas Agus Hendarto who is the Sub-Coordinator for Maintenance of the General Bureau and Procurement of the Ministry of Agriculture; and the Coordinator of Kersiapan and Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture's General Bureau, Rezki Yudistira Saleh.

It has not been detailed what the prosecutors of these four witnesses will investigate at the trial by Ali. However, the four were presented to prove the indictment against Syahrul.

As previously reported, a number of witnesses from the elements of employees at the Ministry of Agriculture in the trial said that there was a flow of money from echelons and the ministry's budget was used for the personal interests of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Among them are for the benefit of Umrah, skincare, credit card bills.

Not only that, Kemal Redindo Syahrul Putra, who is SYL's son, used an Alphard car that was purchased with vendor money installments at the Ministry of Agriculture.

This statement came when the Deputy Budget Functional Staff of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture Adbul Hafidh was present as a witness for the defendant SYL, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

Meanwhile, SYL was charged with extorting his employees of up to Rp44.5 billion. Not only that, the prosecutor also charged the NasDem Party politician with receiving gratuities of up to Rp40.6 billion from January 2020 to October 2023.
