The Burned JIEP Jayakarta Mosque In 2021 Will Be Rebuilt

JIEP Jayakarta Mosque, which was burned in 2021, has resulted in the whole building being demolished by the BUMD PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) as the manager of industrial estates in East Jakarta.

"With the rebuilding of the JIEP Jayakarta Mosque, it is hoped that it can provide blessings for PT JIEP and also for all stakeholders in this area," said PT JIEP President Director Dharma Satriadi in a statement in Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 4.

Dharma explained that the JIEP Jayakarta Mosque carries the concept of an environmentally friendly building with modern and aesthetic designs.

"The JIEP Jayakarta mosque presents a building design that uses natural lighting and is equipped with a green plaza area so that it brings a beautiful and comfortable impression for pilgrims who will carry out worship or activities here," he added.

The JIEP Jayakarta Mosque was first established in 1981, which became the first mosque in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate. However, in 2021 the mosque caught fire which caused the entire building to collapse.

"It is hoped that the construction process can run smoothly and on time so that all stakeholders can immediately use it in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate," said Dharma.

Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government BUMD Development Agency Nasruddin Djoko Surjono expressed his appreciation to PT JIEP for presenting one of the largest mosques in East Jakarta and being the pride of the people of Jakarta, especially for workers in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as one of the shareholders of PT JIEP strongly supports the construction of the JIEP Jayakarta Mosque and hopes that its construction can run on time so that it can be immediately utilized by the people of Jakarta," he said.

JIEP Jayakarta Mosque will be one of the largest mosques in East Jakarta that stands on an area of 8,800 square meters and can accommodate up to 4,000 worshipers.

The groundbreaking for the construction of the JIEP Jayakarta Mosque was carried out in Jakarta, Friday (3/5) attended by PT Danareksa (Persero) and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as shareholders, PT Nindya Beton as the implementer of the construction, PT Virama Karya as the design consultant, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Religious Harmony Forum.
