North Jakarta Metro Police deployed 637 joint personnel to escort workers' actions to commemorate International Labor Day or May Day today, May 1.

"We have deployed 637 personnel stationed at several points to secure and guard the labor actions carried out by fellow workers and workers," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 1, as reported by Antara.

He said the personnel consisted of the TNI, Polri, Transportation Service, and Satpol PP assigned to two labor concentration locations.

According to him, there are two main locations where the action participants gather, namely the Coca-Coca Intersection and the Rawa Stadium, Koja Jakut.

He said at the Coca-Cola intersection there was a future meeting from East Jakarta and from North Jakarta to Central Jakarta.

Meanwhile in Rawa Badak there are activities carried out by fellow workers together with the North Jakarta labor service to carry out ceremonial and warning against this labor action.

Gidion emphasized that for security and escort of labor actions, a humanist approach was carried out.

"The most important thing is that in the implementation of securing this labor action, we do not use firearms. We do it with humanist touch," he said.
