Implementing The Job Creation Law, DPR Asked The Regional Government To Ease Investment Permits
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Azis Syamsuddin (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representative (DPR), Azis Syamsuddin, has asked the regional government (Pemda) to simplify licensing and provide convenience for investors who wish to invest.

This, he said, was in order to accelerate the implementation of Law number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and its derivative regulations.

"This effort is being made to support the government's program in restoring the economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic so that Indonesia can revive itself and bring prosperity to the people," said Azis Syamsuddin in a written statement, Monday, March 8.

According to Azis, the ease of investment permits is believed to have an impact on the community by creating jobs and creating welfare for the surrounding community.

"Investors should not be disturbed, provided that the domestic industry must not be shut down and still prioritize and pay attention to workers' welfare," he said.

The Job Creation Law has 11 clusters of Laws. From these, 10 of them are the duties and functions of the ministry of finance in providing facilities and business licensing.
