Anies Baswedan Fires Managing Director Of Sarana Jaya, Yoory Regarding Corruption Of House Land Of IDR 0 Down Payment

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan fired Yoory C. Pinontoan from the position of President Director of Regional Public Companies (Perumda) Sarana Jaya.

This is related to the determination of Yoory as a corruption suspect in the purchase of land for the IDR 0 Down Payment home program in Pondok Ranggon, Cipayung, East Jakarta at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Head of Regional Owned Enterprise Development Agency (BP BUMD) for DKI Jakarta Province, Riyadi said that it was decided based on Governor Decree Number 212 of 2021 concerning Deactivation of the President Director and Appointment of the Director of Development as Managing Director of Perumda Sarana Jaya.

"The governor at that time immediately made the decision to deactivate him. In this case, Yoory will follow the legal process by adhering to the presumption of innocence", Riyadi said in his statement, Monday, March 8.

Anies immediately appointed Director of Development of Perumda Sarana Jaya Indra Sukmono as a Director of Perumda Sarana Jaya, no later than 3 months from the stipulation of the Governor's Decree, with an option to be extended.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) previously confirmed that it was conducting investigations on alleged corruption cases in the purchase of land in several locations for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's IDR 0 Down Payment Program by DKI Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD).

The KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri said that his party was investigating this case after finding two pieces of evidence that were sufficient to establish a certain party as a suspect. The KPK appointed a BUMD boss in this case.

"It is true that after two sufficient preliminary pieces of evidence were found, the KPK is currently carrying out investigations into alleged Corruption Crime (TPK) related to land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Rangon Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province in 2019", Ali said in his written statement.

Even though he confirmed it, the anti-graft commission was still reluctant to elaborate on this case. This is because the suspect's announcement will be made when the arrest and detention are carried out.

"Currently, the KPK investigative team is still completing its duties first", said Ali.

He said that the KPK would of course notify the public about the construction of the case, evidence, and would explain who the suspects were, along with the articles that were suspected.

"However, as a form of information disclosure, we ensure that we will convey any developments in the handling of this case to the public", said Ali.
