The Attorney General's Office Names Sriwijaya Air Boss Hendry Li As A Suspect For Tin Corruption

JAKARTA - Two of the five new suspects in the alleged corruption case in the tin commodity trading system in the Mining Business Permit (IUP) PT Timah Tbk from 2015 to 2022, are known to be the founders of Sriwijaya Air. They are Hendry Lie (HL) and Fandy Lingga (FL).

"Yes, it is true (the founder of Sriwijaya Air)," said the Head of the AGO, Ketut Sumedana, quoted Monday, April 29.

In the case of alleged tin corruption, Hendy Lie has not been detained. Meanwhile, Fandy Lingga has been detained.

The Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Kuntadi, said that Hendy Lie had not been detained because he did not fulfill the summons for examination when his status was still a witness, Friday, April 26.

"The suspect HL, who was summoned today (Friday, April 26) as a witness, is not present. The investigation team will immediately summon him as a suspect," he said.

Meanwhile, Fandy Lingga has been detained at the Salemba detention center at the Attorney General's Office.

In this case, they are charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.

As a reminder, in this case, the AGO previously named 16 suspects. Two of them are crazy rich Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) Helena Lim and Harvey Moeis who is Sandra Dewi's husband.
