Still Being Investigated, Police Check Phones Of Manado Traffic Unit Members Who Died

JAKARTA - The case of the death of Brigadier RA still caught the public's attention. Now the South Jakarta Metro Police is investigating the contents of the mobile phone belonging to a member of the Manado Police Traffic Unit, North Sulawesi.

As is known, Brigadier RA was found dead in a car in Mampang, South Jakarta.

"Today's activities are focused on exploring the contents of the victim's cell phone," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the South Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Bintoro in Jakarta, Sunday, as reported by ANTARA.

According to him, the deepening of the contents of the mobile phone carried out by the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim (Jaksel) focused on the contents of the conversation between the victim RA and his wife.

After everything is finished, his party will reveal the contents of the victim's conversation to the public so that the case being handled is clear and nothing needs to be suspected.

"We will release the contents on Monday. Especially the SMS (conversation) between the wife and the victim," he said.

Previously, the Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigation at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Henrikus Yossi, said that Brigadier RA's family refused to do an autopsy on the police's body so that they were immediately flown to Manado, North Sulawesi.

"The family has received the body and then taken it to Soekarno-Hatta Airport to be flown to North Sulawesi," said Yossi in Jakarta, Saturday (27/4).

Yossi emphasized that the family was not willing to do an autopsy on the body of the deceased.

"So, only the 'visum et repertum' examination was carried out without an autopsy being carried out and then given or handed over to the family," he said.

Yossi also added that the family was present at the Police Hospital to see firsthand the condition of the body of the late RA.

"In addition, the family has also received a comprehensive explanation from the forensic team of doctors at the National Police Hospital regarding the condition of the body based on external examinations or external post-mortem on the body," he said.
