PUPR Sorsel Budgets IDR 10 Billion Bangun Jalan Saifi Which Is Badly Damaged

SOREL - The Public Works for Public Housing (PUPR) of South Sorong (South Sorong), Southwest Papua, has budgeted IDR 10 billion from the 2024 Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for the construction of roads in Saifi District which suffered serious damage. Head of the Sorsel PUPR Service, Alfius Way, said that the 16-kilo-kilo-meter road section in Saifi District cannot be carried out for one fiscal year. "The Saifi road section has been in the works for three consecutive years, but not all of them have been completed because the road is quite long," said Alfiusdi in Teminabuan, Antara, Wednesday, April 24. In 2021, the Sorsel Regency Government (Pemkab) will work on the road, even in a situation of economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. "There is a revocus of the budget during the COVID-19 demonstrators, so that a number of infrastructure developments cannot run optimally. In 2021 PUPR allocates IDR 7 billion to carry out work on the Saifi road," said Alfius. In 2023, he said, PUPR will also allocate a budget for work on the Saifi road, especially the 500-meter-long concrete rigit. "The cost for this concrete rigid is quite expensive, so the work is 500 meters, but in 2024 PUPR allocates a budget of IDR 10 billion for road work in Kayabo, Komanggart, and Sayal, with a length of 3 meters," said Alfius. Alfius continued, the Rp 10 billion budget source is sourced from DAK in 2024, and the auction process will be carried out next week. "A number of community leaders met with us PUPR to hear an explanation regarding the road work process, and it has been explained when the tender process will be," said Alfius. He appealed to the people of Sorsel to support the development that is being carried out by the government because the benefits will be enjoyed by the community itself.
