JAKARTA - Many green open space facilities (RTH) in Jati Pinggir Petamburan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta were damaged and changed functions, Wednesday, April 24.

In addition, the open space on the edge of the West Flood Canal River is also used as a stall for selling street vendors. Some of this area is also used as a shelter for used goods.

Ramli (39), one of the residents, said he admitted that he was disappointed with the park changes that seemed unmaintained. Starting from the condition of the game, there are many spoils that endanger children in playing.

"This park is also a motorbike parking lot, used goods stalls, traders' stalls to many poultry cages," Ramli said at the location, Wednesday, April 24.

Meanwhile, one of the Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP) Sub-Department of Plantation and Urban Forests, who declined to be named, said that his party often had problems when cleaning the park.

"Our obstacles start from a lot of garbage, used goods stalls, motorbike parking, traders' stalls," he said.

The PJLP officer admitted that he was very upset to see the plants that had been planted damaged by the activity. He also once complained to the Central Jakarta City Parks and Forests Sub-dept. regarding the condition of the park.

"Once reported, the Satpol pp continued to be guarded but it only lasted three days. After it was not guarded immediately," he said. He hoped that the Jati Pinggir park could be reorganized so that it could be used by local residents.
