Woman In Palembang Killed, Police Confiscate Truck Used By Driver

Palembang Police, South Sumatra, confiscated a truck that ran over a motorcyclist in Palembang City, South Sumatra. "We have secured the truck that ran over a motorcyclist in Palembang City," said Palembang Police Chief Kombes Harryo Sugihhartono when confirmed, Antara, Tuesday, April 23. There has been an accident of a truck that ran over a woman riding a motorcycle in the Jalan AKBP Cek Agus area on Monday, April 22, 2024 night, at around 21.15 WIB. Chronology of the accident began when Yamaha Mio BG-4201-CM motorcyclist walking from the intersection of Patal was about to head to the Palembang golf intersection. Then the motorcyclist arrived at the scene of the accident then fell and was hit by a truck with a license plate number B-9988-UU which came from the same direction and destination, resulting in the victim being injured and dead on the spot. He added that the incident even made traffic jams quite long in the Jalan Cek Agus area.

For this incident, he appealed to all motorcyclists to increase their vigilance and reduce speed when crossing roads whose conditions were damaged or with holes.
