Eating Free Nutrition Called Hashim Initiated Since 2006: This Is The Idea Of Me And Pak Prabowo

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, said that free nutritious food (MBG) was not a new idea. The discussion is even said to have been going on since 2006.

This was conveyed by Hashim in his remarks while attending the Gerindra Party's National Christmas event at the Tiberias Church, Bekasi City, West Java, Saturday, January 18.

The free nutritious food program was planned to be initiated 18 years ago. This is not a new idea. This is an idea I discussed with Pak Prabowo in 2006," said Hashim.

Hashim explained that this program was originally called the white revolution. The basic idea is to provide milk to improve the nutritional intake of children and pregnant women.

Prabowo is very concerned about the condition of children who are experiencing tengkes or stunting. "This is our goal, our goal is to eradicate hunger and we empower poor children who do not have time to eat every morning," he said.

Furthermore, Hashim agreed that this program was too late because it was only implemented now. He said Indonesia is the 77th country to have just carried out free nutritious feeding.

"But it's okay that we're late but we're starting and we're doing it," he said.

"Well, this is clearly a program from Gerindra that we love free nutritious food. Purely the idea of Gerindra and I am proud of that," concluded Hashim.
