Even Though The Claims Remain On The Change Line, Cak Imin Opens The Opportunity For PKB To Join The Government

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin emphasized that he would remain on the path of change after losing the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK).

However, Cak Imin did not rule out the opportunity for PKB to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government for the period 2024-2029.

This was revealed by Cak Imin after reporting the results of the 2024 presidential election dispute trial decision in an internal party management meeting at the PKB DPP office.

"Regarding inside and outside (the government), discussions are still ongoing. Just wait for further developments, especially the Shura Council asking for time for discussion to be continued tomorrow and the day after tomorrow," said Cak Imin at the PKB DPP office, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 22.

Cak Imin admitted that there were differences in the views of party officials regarding the political direction of the PKB in the future. However, party communication will continue until it leads to an agreement.

"In this position, we will continue to accommodate all ideas, considerations and various developments of internal and external communication," he said.

It is known that the Constitutional Court rejected Anies-Muhaimin's request as well as Ganjar-Mahfud. The court considered that the arguments submitted by the applicant were not based on law.

The rejected application was to cancel the results of the 2024 presidential election, to disqualify Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and to re-vote.

"Reject the applicant's application in its entirety," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo when reading the verdict.

However, the three Constitutional Court judges expressed different opinions or dissenting opinions on this decision, namely Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, and Arief Hidayat.

The three of them view that the request should be partially granted, as well as re-voting on a number of areas deemed problematic.
