PDIP: Gibran Is No Longer A Party Cadre

JAKARTA - Head of the PDI-P Honorary Court (PDIP) Komarudin Watubun emphasized that Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), is no longer a party cadre bearing the bull symbol.

The mayor of Solo is no longer considered after advancing with Prabowo Subianto as a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. In fact, at that time PDIP nominated Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"Gibran is no longer a party cadre. I have said that since he took the decision (forward as a vice presidential candidate, ed)," Komarudin told reporters at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 22.

Komarudin alluded to Gibran who had lied to him and PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto. This moment occurred when he was invited to speak privately at the PDIP DPP office some time ago.

He himself said that he realized that next year his father would not (religiously, ed) be president anymore. "Where else do I go, I will definitely lean on the PDI-P," he said recounting the closed moment.

Likewise when asked when the event was closed at the PDIP DPP Party School. Komarudin said Gibran and Bobby Nasution, who served as Mayor of Medan, answered that they would not change parties.

"Mas Gibran himself went to the pulpit and was conveyed to remain with the PDI-P," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the status of President Jokowi who is also a PDIP cadre, Komarudin did not want to answer much. He only said it was impossible for people in other camps to be maintained.

"Ah, people are already there. How can you say it's still from the PDI-P, that's true," concluded the Papuan politician.
