Central Lombok Police Handles Case Of Social Assistance Rice Misappropriation For THR

Central Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara handled a case of alleged misappropriation in the distribution of government reserve social assistance rice (Bansos).

Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Iwan Hidayat confirmed the handling of the case.

"The handling of this case began with public information," said Iwan, Monday, April 22.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Lalu Brata Kusnadi, said that the handling of this case was still in the witness examination stage.

"Until now, witness examination is still ongoing under the handling of the Central Lombok Police Satreskrim Corruption Unit," said Brata.

From the results of the interim investigation, allegations of misappropriation emerged from distribution in Pandan Indah Village and Barabali Village.

"The temporary information we got was used for THR (holiday allowance)," he said.

Brata said the village had been asked for clarification, including the officers who distributed aid to the recipients.

From the village statement, evidence was found of alleged misappropriation of aid. Data on reports of distribution results is different from the facts received by the public.

"What is clear is that this is still being investigated. If there are developments, we will convey it," he said.
