Cak Imin Says Anies Has No Interest In Running For The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA - PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin said Anies Baswedan was not interested in advancing in the 2024 Pilkada. Because his partner in the 2024 presidential election is still focusing on the dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential election at the Constitutional Court (MK).

"Mas Anies and I are still concentrating on waiting for the Constitutional Court's decision. So there is no intention or intention from Mas Anies to run for the election," said Cak Imin in Jakarta, Saturday, April 20. "(Until) this moment, the Pilkada has not crossed its mind, because we still have to go through the presidential election process to completion," he added. Furthermore, Cak Imin said that the PKB DPP has officially opened registration for candidates for regional heads (cakada) for the 2024 Pilkada both online and offline as of today, Saturday, April 20. "PKB calls the best sons and daughters to fill the governor and deputy governor candidates in 37 provinces throughout Indonesia as well as candidates for regent/deputy regent and mayor/deputy mayor in 508 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia," he said. Cak Imin claims that the PKB positioning is increasingly strategic and is taken into account in the 2024 Pilkada in line with the results of the 2024 Pilleg which puts the vote acquisition and PKB seats up significantly in a number of regions. "In the 2024 Pilkada event, PKB will be the Main Supporter in 12 Provinces and 270 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia," he said.

However, the vice presidential candidate number 1 emphasized that PKB is very open to other political forces to jointly form a coalition to develop regions. Cak Imin said, PKB is also very open to all figures regardless of ethnic, religious and racial background. "PKB is also open to young figures who are fresh and visionary to innovate regional development. Including, in it are the ideas of change to accelerate development in the regions," he said.
