BMKG Warns North Sumatran Residents In Heavy Rain Alert Mountains Potentially Landslide

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded the public to be aware of heavy rains in mountainous areas of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) which have high potential to cause floods and landslides.

Forecaster for BBMKG Region I Medan Budi Prasetyo said that in the next two days some areas of North Sumatra still have the potential to experience moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

Heavy rain has the potential to occur in mountainous areas, West Slopes and East Slopes of North Sumatra accompanied by lightning and strong winds that can cause floods, landslides and other hydrometeorological disasters.
