8,725 Odd-Even Violating Vehicles During Lebaran 2024 Homecoming And Return Flows

JAKARTA - The odd-even scheme is implemented on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to Kalikangkung during the 2024 Eid homecoming and return flow. It is recorded that 8,725 vehicles violated these rules.

"The total number of gage violations (odd-even) is 8,725," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Thursday, April 18.

Thousands of vehicles that violated the odd-even with details, 4,201 during the homecoming flow and 4,524 when the backflow.

Latif said that his party had sent a letter of confirmation of violations to motorists.

"A direct confirmation letter was sent online, via SMS, Whatsapp, email," he said.

After the violators confirm their violations, they must pay the fine as determined.

Drivers who violate odd-even will be charged with Article 287 paragraph 1 of Law number 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation (LLAJ).

In this regulation, violators will be sanctioned by two months of detention or a maximum fine of Rp. 500 thousand.

"(Pay the fine) You can go through e-banking or you can go directly," said Latif.
