CIREBON - The Department of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar) of Cirebon City, West Java, implemented a work from destination (WFD) policy or an office in tourist destinations as a strategy to increase tourist visits in 2024. Head of Cirebon City Disbudpar Agus Sukmanjaya said that starting Thursday, April 25, his party will have offices in two destinations, namely the Kacirebonan Palace and Kampung Arab Panjunan. "Every Thursday, we have offices in Kacirebonan. Then on Friday in Panjunan," Agus said when confirmed in Cirebon, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, April 17. He explained that the implementation of WFD was not only aimed at attracting tourists, but also accelerating the formation of tourist villages in Cirebon City. This is because, he said, the Kacirebonan Palace and the Arab Panjunan Village have been projected to become a tourist village whose progress is still running today. With the implementation of WFD, Disbudpar can hold meetings with relevant authorities from the private sector and government while introducing uniqueness to the advantages of the two destinations.. "The goal is that when we invite stakeholders, they can see the situation and help to accelerate and form a localized tourist village," he said.

He mentioned that the two tourist villages are actually quite representative and can be visited by tourists. It's just that some arrangements need to be made to beautify the area. For example, in the Kacirebonan Palace, this destination needs to be developed again as a center for historical tourism destinations with the uniqueness of cultural attractions that can be presented to visitors. Meanwhile, he continued, the Kampung Arab Panjunan still had to be reorganized so that tourists could immediately visit this year. Some things are already underway. The rest we continue to process. We are currently fully concerned about developing two tourist villages, namely Kacirebonan and Kampung Arab Panjunan," he said.
