After Sending Congratulations, Apple Boss Tim Cook Visits Prabowo As Elected President

JAKARTA - Apple CEO Tim Cook visited the Indonesian Minister of Defense as well as the elected president of 2024-2029 Prabowo Subianto at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense office, Wednesday, April 17.

The meeting was held at around 12.45 WIB and ended at 13.50. During the visit, Prabowo and Tim discussed various things, one of which was about the collaboration that had existed so far between Apple and the Indonesian government.

On behalf of Apple, I would like to congratulate you on your election in the presidential election. I look forward to working with you in line with Apple's efforts to continue investing in the Indonesian technology ecosystem," Tim said in his letter to Prabowo on March 21, when he informed him of his visit to Indonesia.

Tim menyebutkan bahwa dirinya bangga dengan pekerjaan yang sudah dilakukan oleh Apple dengan tiga academikasi pengembangan Apple di Surabaya, Jakarta, dan Batam.

The meeting, which took place warmly, was interspersed with laughter where Prabowo had asked whether the Team was a vegetarian or vegan.

"Thank you. It's an honor for me to meet you," Prabowo said at the end of the meeting. I want to ask, are you a vegetarian or vegan? asked Prabowo.

"If you have time, maybe we can have dinner together," Prabowo said.

Meanwhile, Prabowo was accompanied by the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense Donny Ermawan Taufanto.

Previously, the team on the same day, namely in the morning, first met with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo at the State Palace. The meeting between the Team and Jokowi was said to be discussing Apple's investment plan in Indonesia.
