Polri Traces News Of Fake Health Workers Seeking Profits From COVID-19 Vaccination

JAKARTA - The National Police is investigating allegations of fraudulent health workers (health workers) seeking profit during the COVID-19 vaccination program.

The mode used is usually by opening the vaccination registration and asking for payment from the vaccine recipient.

"The problem is that there are parties who take advantage of vaccines, of course, the National Police will explore", said Head of Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas), Police Public Relations Division, General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Friday, March 5.

The national vaccination program which is fully under the auspices of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) is already scheduled. Recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine have also been regulated according to their classification.

That way, no one can overtake or so. Moreover, the distribution and injection of COVID-19 vaccination cannot be done just by anyone.

Rusdi emphasized that if parties were found trying to 'play' in the vaccination program, of course, they would be prosecuted according to the regulations.

"If there are parties who try to take advantage of activities like this (vaccination), of course, they have violated the rule of law, the Police will take steps", he said.
