Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Cirebon City Police, AKP Anggi Eko Prasetyo, said that the witness examination was aimed at gathering new facts related to the incident that occurred on Tuesday (9/4).

In handling this case, the Cirebon City Police also involved an expert team from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the local Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP) to collect the latest data.

From a provisional statement, Anggi said the four technicians died after carrying out routine maintenance in the septic tank room in the shopping center.

The victims were immediately evacuated and rushed to a nearby hospital for an autopsy.

"Currently we are still waiting for the autopsy results," he said.

Previously, Cirebon Mayor Agus Mulyadi assessed that the incident that happened to the four technicians was a work accident in the waste treatment process.
