Loss Of Control While Bending, Izuzu Driver Hits Brother And Sister In South OKU To Death

MURADUA - A fatal accident occurred on the homecoming route in the South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra, precisely on Jalan Raya Muaradua-Baturaja which caused the death of two motorcyclists. The Head of Traffic Unit of the South OKU Police, Safar, said the fatal accident occurred between the BG 2835 VA Vario motorcycle driven by Frayoghi (25) and his younger brother Lucky Alzidho (14) in a white Izuzu Traga BG 8832 VA driven by Suprihatin Bin Sukamto (50). He said the accident started when the Isuzu Traga vehicle was traveling from the direction of Muaradua to Simpang, South OKU Regency. Arriving at the crime scene (TKP), precisely on the road, he said, the vehicle driven by the victim drove from the opposite direction until a fatal collision occurred. "It is suspected that the driver of Izuzu Traga lost control while on the road crossing, causing him to hit a motorcycle driven by the victim and bounced to the side of the road," he explained in Muaradua, Antara, Friday, April 12. The two victims who bounced suffered lacerations to the temples of their right eye, left eye, lacerations to the head, knees, right leg, bruises to the right shoulder and died at the scene. "The victim who was picked up was Lucky Alzidho who was rushed to Baturaja Hospital, OKU Regency, but his life could not be saved anymore because he was seriously injured," he explained.

Currently, his party is still conducting investigations, including collecting witness statements in the field to reveal the cause of the deadly accident. "The cause of the accident is still being investigated. We have secured Izuzu Traga driver at the South OKU Police Traffic Unit Gakkum Unit for further investigation," he said.
