127,406 Tangerang-Merak Toll Road Cross Vehicles To D-3 Lebaran

JAKARTA - Astra Infra Tol, the manager of the Tangerang-Merak (Tamer) Toll Road noted that the total volume of vehicles passing through the toll road reached 127,406 vehicles up to D-3 Lebaran or on Sunday, April 7.

"On April 7, 2024, the total volume of vehicles passing through Astra Infra Toll Road Tangerang-Merak was 127,406 vehicles," said Astra Infra Group Chief Operating Officer Billy Perkasa Kadar in a written statement, Monday, April 8.

Billy said that there had been a queue of vehicles on the Tangerang-Merak toll road heading towards Merak Port to KM 87 or 9 kilometers (km) which then gradually shrunk through various actions to break down the density.

As for the efforts made by Astra Infra, including coordinating with the police intensively to slow down the speed of vehicles heading towards Merak, collaboration in publication of traffic conditions on various platforms and other countermeasures with stakeholders.

"Astra Infra appreciates the coordination of all stakeholders in seeking smooth traffic, especially the handling of congestion at Merak Port, so that the density on toll roads has also been decomposed," he said.

Currently, the queue has been successfully dispersed. Thus, traffic on all Tangerang-Merak toll roads has been monitored again smoothly.

" Road users are also advised not to rest on the shoulder of the road unless it is in an emergency condition because it is dangerous. Those who want to rest can visit the nearest rest area with a maximum duration of 30 minutes to prevent congestion in the rest area," he said.

If the rest area is full, road users can also take advantage of the rest areas and facilities available outside toll roads. After resting, road users can return to the toll road without being subject to additional rates.

In addition, travelers are also advised to be able to reschedule their return schedule and immediately book tickets on the Ferizy application or website according to the available date.

Astra Infra again appealed to travelers who would cross not to leave before having a ticket to prevent congestion at ports and on toll roads.

"By complying with the rules and appeals given, it is hoped that this year's Eid moment can take place safely, comfortably, comfortably and meaningfully," he added.
