KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta Public Relations Manager Krisbiyantoro said the peak of the Lebaran homecoming flow occurred on Fridays and Saturdays with the number of passengers, either up or down as many as 24,000 passengers.

"In Daop 6 Yogyakarta, there was indeed a peak of Eid transportation that occurred on April 5 yesterday with a total of 24,000 long-distance passengers. Then on April 6, 22,187 passengers rose and 22,525 passengers fell," Krisbiyantoro said in his statement, Sunday, April 7.

Meanwhile, Rizky, one of the passengers who had just arrived at Lempuyangan Station in Yogyakarta, said that he chose to use the train mode of transportation to avoid congestion during the Lebaran homecoming flow.

"To avoid traffic jams, the previous year I had a chance to push because the train ticket ran out, so I just took the bus but at that time it was even hit by traffic jams," said Rizky.
