PKB Has No Experience Outside The Government, Jazilul Alludes To Cak Imin-Prabowo's Good Relations

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the DPP National Awakening Party (PKB), Jazilul Fawaid, said that his party did not have experience outside the government.

This was conveyed by Jazilul in response to the condition of his party's opportunity to become an opposition because the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin (AMIN) pair failed in the 2024 presidential election. He ensured that the current political conditions would be studied first before making a decision.

"In Indonesia there is no opposition. PKB does not yet have experience for that. We will see later," said Jazilul at the PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Saturday, April 6, 2024.

"For us, study first, right. We see because PKB does not have experience outside the government. So, we'll see. After all, who wants to invite (in, red.) government?" he said.

Furthermore, Jazilul said that Cak Imin as the General Chair of PKB had a good relationship with the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, who won the 2024 presidential election with Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

So, there is a possibility that the meeting between the two to explore cooperation can be open. Moreover, PKB and Gerindra have a similar vision.

"So you see, Gerindra and PKB are close. Pak Prabowo and Pak Muhaimin are close," he said.

"I think when I meet, it's okay. I think PKB and Gerindra are the same, Gus Muhaimin's relationship with Pak Prabowo until now has no problem," said Jazilul.

Jazilul also mentioned Cak Imin, who almost became Prabowo's vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. He said this was proof of the closeness between the two political figures.

"Because fate alone did not become Pak Prabowo's representative. There was a lot that was discussed at that time, his vision had been prepared," he concluded.
