D-4 Lebaran, Traffic At Gadog Intersection Is Monitored Smoothly

BOGOR - The traffic flow in the Simpang Gadog area, Puncak, West Java, was observed smoothly on D-4 Lebaran 2024.

Until 12.15 WIB, Saturday, April 6, the flow of vehicles, both cars and motorbikes, crossed Simpang Gadog towards Puncak and vice versa, went smoothly.

The traffic of vehicles heading to Bogor City, West Java at the intersection also seemed smooth.

A number of traffic control and security posts stand around the Gadog intersection, to support the flow of Eid Al-Fitr 2024 homecoming and homecoming.

Based on the results of a survey conducted by the Transportation Policy Agency (BKT) of the Ministry of Transportation, there is a trend of increasing the potential for national community movement during the Eid 2024 period, which is 71.7 percent of the total population of Indonesia as many as 193 million people.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said as many as 28.4 million people were projected to leave the Jabodetabek area.

Of this figure, 14.6 percent or 28.4 million people in Jabodetabek will travel during the 2024 Eid homecoming period.

This indicates that there is a tendency to increase public interest in traveling for Eid Al-Fitr 2024 and when compared to 2023, it is 45.8 percent or 123 million people.

As an anticipatory measure to deal with the surge in travelers, Budi Karya Sumadi said that he had collaborated with related ministries/agencies in preparing from an operational and regulatory perspective in controlling traffic control modes of transportation.

The reason people travel back and forth is that most of them celebrate Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns, then as a tradition of visiting relatives in the village, and other reasons to take advantage of the Eid holiday time to visit tourist attractions.
