JAKARTA - The Acting (Pj) Mayor of Bekasi, Raden Gani Muhammad, was a witness brought in by the Prabowo-Gibran team at the 2024 presidential election dispute trial at the Constitutional Court (MK).
During the trial, Gani was questioned by Anies-Muhaimin's legal team about a photo that went viral on social media. In the photo, Gani, the Head of Satpol PP, and the Bekasi City sub-districts posed wearing a jersey at the Patriot Chandrabaga Stadium. What is of concern, the jersey number on display is number 2.
Gani admitted that at that time it was a friendly match between the Bekasi City ASN and Bank BJB employees. He said that at that time the jersey on display was only a ceremony jersey that was still wrapped in plastic.
"So the composition there is that the pile of one is 1 to 25. Number 1 has been taken for goalkeepers. Yes, the numbers 1 and 2 (because) are piled up. The lower number is distributed, everything is used behind. 2 is still wrapped in plastic, in the second layer," said Gani at the Constitutional Court trial, Thursday, April 4.
Gani revealed that this case has also been investigated in Bawaslu, Bekasi City. Gani and a number of sub-district heads and echelon II officials have also been investigated.
"The results of the Bekasi City Bawaslu examination, the decision did not find any violations. After that, compared, there was an objection to the provincial Bawaslu. Well, we were no longer examined by the provincial Bawaslu but there were results of an examination that there were violations of other laws. Then it was submitted to KSAN to decide," explained Gani.

Gani is one of the witnesses presented to refute the argument of Anies-Muhaimin and Ganjar-Pranowo's lawsuits regarding the politicization of the appointment of the acting regional head to win Prabowo-Gibran.
"We as the Acting Mayor of Bekasi, we emphasize that here we have never received orders from the leadership to side with or win one of the certain pairs of candidates," explained Gani.
As a bureaucrat, Gani claims that he has no political interest in carrying out his duties to lead the city of Bekasi while filling the vacant position of mayor.
