Reviewing Muara Bungo Jambi Hospital, Jokowi Wants To Make Sure Infrastructures From The Center Are Beneficial

JAMBI - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) paid a visit to the H Hanafie Muara Bungo Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Bungo Regency, Jambi Province, to see firsthand the infrastructure and availability of medical equipment (alkes). Through a visit made today, Jokowi wants to ensure that the medical equipment provided by the government functions well and is beneficial for the local community. "I want to see the equipment, medical equipment that has been provided by the central government, either through DAK (Special Allocation Fund) or directly from the Ministry of Health, is really useful and beneficial to the community," said President Jokowi in a written statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia. President Jokowi explained that a number of medical devices at the H Hanafie Muara Bungo Hospital, ranging from lab paints, emmography, to CT scans, had functioned well. In addition, RSUD H. Hanafie Muara Bungo also has several specialist doctors. "What is lacking is MRI, what we will try to do will soon be owned by the Muara Bungo regional hospital this year," said President Jokowi. Not only medical equipment, but President Jokowi also highlighted the need to increase service capacity at the H Hanafie Muara Bungo Hospital. According to him, the capacity of the treatment room and beds at the hospital is still inadequate. "So it needs to be built again to increase the capacity of this hospital. Because this serves not only Muara Bungo, serves Dharmasraya, serves Merangin, Tebo, and others," said President Jokowi. The President emphasized that the government will focus on evaluating and improving infrastructure at the H Hanafie Muara Bungo Hospital. He has also instructed the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono to immediately send a team to the field. "Earlier I told the Minister of Public Works that we will send a team here, because the DED (Detail Engineering Design) already exists, does it need to be revised? Or does it need to be repeated with the DED? We'll see after a team enters the field," said President Jokowi. The President also stated that the government will concentrate on providing medical devices and building construction to increase service capacity.

"We concentrate on the medical equipment, then because the beds here are lacking, the rooms are lacking, so the concentration is also on building to add rooms so that the beds will increase," he explained. Also accompanying President Jokowi in this review were Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Governor of Jambi Al Haris, and Regent of Bungo Mashuri.
