Weather April 4, Alert! Heavy Rain Is Predicted To Occur In 15 Regions Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warned of the potential for heavy rain that will hit the majority of regions in Indonesia today, Thursday, April 4, with a speed of more than 50 millimeters.

Based on the official website reported by BMKG, it shows that areas that have the potential to be hit by heavy rains include Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, and East Java.

Heavy rains will also hit the regions of West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua, and Papua.

Even the rain in some of these areas includes thunderstorms, namely heavy rain with strong winds of 45 kilometers per hour accompanied by lightning and lightning, which has the potential to occur in Aceh, West Sumatra, Riau, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, West Java, and DKI Jakarta.

Hurricanes also have the potential to occur in Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, and West Papua.

Head of BMKG Dwikorita Karnawati stated that the potential for extreme weather could lead to disasters that have increased in most areas for the next week, triggered by intervention in tropical cyclone seeds.

According to him, there are three tropical cyclone seeds; Tropical Cyclone seeds 91S, 94S, and 93P are monitored around the Indian Ocean south of Java, the Timor Sea, and the Australian Sea showing influence on the southern part of Indonesia.
